This 10-night birding expedition takes you from the bird-rich Canal Zone to the remote lowland rainforests of Darién—one of the last strongholds of the Harpy Eagle and many other range-restricted species. The tour blends world-class birding with conservation learning, while supporting local guides and ecolodges such as the Canopy Tower and Canopy Camp Darién.Panama’s unique position as a land bridge between North and South America brings together an exceptional mix of species.

Tour Conditions:

This tour involves travel in warm, humid environments with some rustic conditions. Accommodations are well-managed but basic in Darién. Electricity and connectivity may be limited. Participants should be comfortable with open truck rides, muddy trails, and extended field time.
